: Relax! I was looking for the same information myself. I have a research paper due the end of April. I thought this site might be a good place to come, but I think its just a chat room for Augustine.
: If you need to catch up, Augustine's most popular work is the City of God. He establishes two cities that are distinct from one another. Both exist, one here on Earth, the City of Man, and the other in heaven, the City of God. The City of God was written in defense of Christianity in Rome. After the decline of the Roman Empire, the citizens of Rome blamed the new Christianity. Christianity demanded that the citizens give up there pagan gods. The citizens of Rome decided that this neglect for there pagan gods destroyed the empire. Augustine defends Christianity.
: The City of God contains Augustine's political philosophy, but there are other works in which you might be interested. I hope it helped, but I'm leaving this chat room so I can accomp[lish some serious research!
