I was intrigued to find your question around St. Augustine and lust. Is the real issue self-justification about feeling lustful? Or is it an issue around self-control? I picked up 'Confessions' last week and I am amazed at Augustine's careful insight- particularly book I. In the first book he explores his conversion, and his being drawn away from lust through the grace of God. If this is useful- great. I am exploring the whole issue myself and it would be good to think about Augustine and his approach to lust, self-control and God's mercy with someone else
